Any abnormal uterine bleeding from the vagina can be investigated -It could be Postmenopausal bleeding Irregular menstruation, Intermenstrual bleeding, after intercourse bleeding, Persistent menorrhagia( higher menstrual bleeding). It is adviced In case of heavy menses ,termination of pregnancy,incomplete abortion, removal of uterine polyps or fibroids. Its a day care procedure ,done under short general anaesthesia or sedation. Recovery period is one day. Most women can resume normal activities almost immediately.
